BECOME HAZEGALLERY ARTIST

How to apply to HAZEGALLERY

Every portfolio is read closely by our curatorial team, and applying is free.

1. Prepare your portfolio

Please submit a portfolio featuring at least ten works that are available for exhibition and for acquisition. Our focus is on contemporary painting on canvas, works on paper, photography, sculpture, and printmaking. A Google Drive folder is the format we prefer.

2. Shipping and location

Our sales model includes European delivery in the price the collector sees, which means we work with artists whose works are held within the EU or the UK at the time of sale. If your works are stored elsewhere, you are welcome to apply once you have a European studio, a gallery partner, or a storage arrangement inside the customs union, and we will be glad to look at your portfolio then. Works that sell through HAZEGALLERY should be ready to ship within ten working days of purchase.

3. Include your CV, biography, and profile picture

You may include your CV and artist statement within the portfolio or attach them as separate files. The total size of all attachments should stay under 25 MB.

4. Artwork information

For each artwork, please include the title, the year, the medium, the dimensions, the availability, and the price. Prices should stay consistent across your studio, your website, and any other platform where the works are offered, since collectors compare.

5. Image quality matters

Please ensure that all artwork images are high resolution, that they represent the work accurately, and that they are photographed in good lighting. Detail images, installation views, videos, and studio footage are welcome.

6. Representation and sales

Artists retain possession of their artworks until a sale is agreed. Selected artists are represented within the gallery programme for one year, with the possibility of renewal by mutual agreement. Our commission is thirty percent on works sold online and fifty percent on works sold through in-person exhibitions, art fairs, or other physical sales channels, calculated on the price you set. European shipping is included in the price shown to the collector and it sits outside the commission calculation.

7. Review process

Portfolio reviews typically take up to two weeks. Given the volume of submissions we appreciate your patience, and if you have not heard from us after that period you are welcome to send a follow-up email.

8. Emerging and established artists welcome

We are interested in strong artistic practices rather than résumés alone. Whether you are at the beginning of your career or already exhibiting internationally, we encourage you to apply if your work speaks to our curatorial direction.

9. Curatorial selection

Selected artists may be invited to take part in curated online and in-person exhibitions, art fairs, editorial features, interviews, or future projects across the HAZEGALLERY and PURPLEHAZE Magazine platforms. Collaboration details are discussed individually after the review process. Given the number of submissions we receive, we are unable to provide individual feedback on unsuccessful applications, and we keep a set of free resources open to every artist on this page whatever the outcome.
