About the Exhibition

HAZEGALLERY, the curatorial platform of PURPLEHAZE Magazine, invites artists and image-makers to participate in a curated pop-up exhibition developed alongside the launch of PURPLEHAZE Print Issue 012.

The exhibition translates the conceptual world of the magazine into a physical space, bringing together artists whose works resonate with the theme of the upcoming issue.

THEME

“I CAN BUY MYSELF FLOWERS” A phrase that moved through global culture, shifting from lyric to declaration. Within it lives a quiet structural shift a repositioning of value, authorship, and emotional economy. To buy your own flowers is to claim ownership over beauty, care, and desire. It is an act of self-authorship. For this exhibition, the phrase functions as a metaphor. We are interested in works that explore:

• autonomy as identity

• rituals of independence

• intimacy turned inward

• beauty chosen rather than granted

• solitude as clarity

• desire as self-directed

We seek works that carry psychological depth, atmosphere, and visual precision.

MEDIA

The exhibition will be photography-led, reflecting the visual language of PURPLEHAZE while allowing expanded formats.

We welcome submissions in the following mediums:

• fashion and editorial photography

• fine art photography

• documentary photography with a strong visual voice

• works on paper

• fine art prints

• short looping video works (20–60 seconds, limited selection)

To maintain visual cohesion, artists submit digital files.

Printing, sizing, and material decisions will be coordinated centrally as part of the curatorial process.
