BIO

Josefina was born in Santiago de Chile and later moved to Barcelona, where she established herself as a photographer. With an academic background in Visual Arts and Photography, she has always been on the move, channeling her creativity into every project. Her desire to explore and innate curiosity have led her to work in various countries, including New York, London, Portugal, Santiago de Chile, Thailand, and Barcelona. These experiences profoundly influence her work, as she transforms each destination into a narrative—whether through fashion, portraits, or capturing the magical simplicity of everyday moments.

One of Josefina’s recent accomplishments was the creation of her photography book A Praia, which was exhibited at the Lisbon Photo Book Fair in 2023. The book celebrates the beauty of Portugal’s beaches, offering a unique perspective on the simplicity and charm of coastal life. In November, she reached another milestone when she was invited to exhibit her work at Paris Art Icon, solidifying her place as an internationally recognized artist.

Josefina’s passion for storytelling and her remarkable ability to uncover beauty in the ordinary continue to drive her creative journey, ensuring she is always exploring, creating, and inspiring wherever she goes.

Josefina´s work is an expression of the admiration and profound connection to water in all forms. Her photography explores how water is always present within us, evoking a wide range of sensations and emotions, whether through its fluidity, its ability to transform, or its ethereal beauty. Water symbolizes something timeless and boundless, with no beginning or end-a presence that feels otherworldly yet deeply intrinsic to our being. Through her lens, Josefina captures water as a magical force, a reflection of life itself. It is not just a physical element but also an emotional and spiritual one, representing purity , transformation, and continuity. This ethereal quality of water inspired her , shaping her artistic vision and creative process. For Josefina, water is not only a theme but a muse, a constant reminder of the beauty and mystery that flows within around us.
