An editor and curator looks at your portfolio and tells you what is actually happening when someone else opens it. This document will be an honest look at where the work loses a reader, and a practical path to holding them and an honest feedback.
You send up to fifteen works with captions, along with your bio and artist statement if you have them. I go through the sequence, the images, the titles and the texts, and return one - two pages covering what is working, what is holding the portfolio back, and the specific changes I would make first. Delivered within five working days.
This is a reading rather than a production service. If you want the portfolio rebuilt and delivered as a finished document, that is the Portfolio Pack.
Curator's Review is independent of any open call. It carries no weight in selection, before or after, and requesting one neither helps nor harms an application. Reviews are not accepted from artists whose submission is currently under consideration, so if you have applied and are waiting to hear back, write to me once the results are out.
