ABOUT 

 

Helena Bednorz (Helena B. Klaus) was born in Ukraine in 1983 and has lived in Germany since 1996. After completing her art studies in 2004, specializing in painting, Helena worked as an assistant to the pop artist Hermann Reichold until 2009.

Since then, she has been represented internationally with her work in numerous solo and group exhibitions.

The common thread running through her artistic work can be recognized in her depictions of the human body in the form of facial expressions, gestures, and body language. The integration of pictorial motifs ranges from socialist realism and playful floral imagery to abstract and non-representational backgrounds. The last series of paintings shows offensive motifs that communicate with the viewer through expressive body language.
